Free site visit & fixed quote
We measure up, check access and drainage, talk through blocks and patterns, then put a fixed price in writing. No deposit, no pressure.

Excavate & cart away
Old surface out and dug down to the right depth for the traffic the drive will take — typically 200–250mm on a domestic driveway.

Sub-base & edgings
Type 1 MOT laid in layers and whacker-compacted, edge courses haunched in concrete. This is the part nobody sees and everything depends on.

Laying course & blocks
Screeded sharp sand, blocks cut in tight to the perimeter, patterns and borders set out to your drawing.

Kiln-dried sand, sweep & sign-off
Jointing sand vibrated in, site swept and cleared, and we walk it with you before we leave. 5 year guarantee registered.

How much does a block paving driveway cost?
Around Mansfield and the NG17–NG20 postcodes, expect £75–£110 per m² supplied and laid, depending on the blocks, the amount of cutting and whether drainage or a dropped kerb is needed. A typical two-car drive of 40–50m² lands between £3,500 and £5,500. Quotes are free and fixed in writing.
How long will my driveway take?
Most domestic driveways are two to four days on site — one day to dig out and cart away, one for sub-base and edgings, then laying and jointing. Bigger jobs with walls or steps run a little longer and we'll give you a day-by-day plan with the quote.
Do I need planning permission?
Not usually, provided the surface is permeable or surface water drains to a soakaway or border rather than the road. Resin bound and permeable block paving both satisfy this. A dropped kerb does need council approval — we're fully licensed and handle the application for you.
Are resin driveways any good in the UK climate?
Yes. Resin bound surfaces cope well with freeze–thaw cycles, drain straight through so you get no puddles, and we use UV-stable aggregates so they don't fade. They need almost no maintenance beyond an occasional wash down.
What does the 5 year guarantee cover?
Workmanship on everything we install — settlement, edge failure, joint loss. It's registered on completion and stays with the property. Manufacturer warranties on materials sit on top of it.
