What we've learnt working in Kirkby-in-Ashfield
Kirkby has a big stock of post-war housing with original concrete drives, and most of them are now sixty years old and cracked into plates. Concrete that's gone doesn't get better — once water is getting under it and freezing, the cracking accelerates. There's no useful repair, so it's a dig-out.
The good news is that those plots are usually a sensible shape and the ground underneath is generally decent, so a straightforward two-car block paved drive is often a three or four day job with a predictable price.
Streets and areas we've worked on
Recent work off Kingsway, Diamond Avenue, Lowmoor Road, Station Street, Ellis Grove and the estates towards Annesley Woodhouse.
